Ambedkar Inspirational Stories & Incidents
Let’s Start Ambedkar Inspirational Stories
1. Babasaheb’s Honesty
This is a pre-independence event. In 1943, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was included in the Viceroy. At the same time, he also worked for the Department of Public Works (PWD). The budget of this department was several million and the contractors were competing for their contract.
In this greed, a great entrepreneur from Delhi sent his son to Babasaheb’s son, Yashwant Rao, and offered to become a member and grant a commission of 25 to 50% to obtain the contract via Babasaheb. Yashwant Rao entered his deception and reached out to convey this message to his father.
As soon as Babasaheb heard this, he became furious. They told
“I protecting society, I will never come to raise my son. Such greed and greed can never distract me.
And the same night, he sent Yashwant back to Bombay with hunger.
2. Dr. Babasaheb and the librarian
Dr. Ambedkar suffered a lot in his life, but he never left his education affected. I studied every day from 14h to 18h. It was Shahu Maharaj Ji, from Baroda, who sent him to England to pursue higher education.
Asa Babasaheb was very fond of reading books. It is thought that his personal library was the largest personal library in the world, with more than 50,000 books.
While in London, he went to a library every day and studied for hours. Once they ate a piece of bread while sitting alone in the library at lunchtime, the librarian saw them and scolded them, instead of going to the cafeteria, they ate food hidden here. The librarian threatened to fine him and terminate his membership.
Babasaheb then apologized and told him about his struggle and that of his company and why he came to England. He also honestly admitted that he did not have enough money to go to the cafeteria for lunch.
After hearing it, the librarian said:
From today you will not be sitting at noon, you will go to the cafeteria with me and I will share my meal with you.
The librarian was Jewish (Jewish) and this behavior made Babasaheb a special place for Jews in his mind.
3. Who can Manage it
This incident took place while Mr. Ambedkar was studying at Columbia University of America. He went there every morning before the library opened and stayed alone after everyone had left. Even he asked permission to sit even after the end of the library hours.
Seeing him doing it every day, the pawn said: “Why are you still serious? Keep studying and never have fun with a friend.”
So Baba Saheb says:
“If I do that, who will take care of my people?”
4. Knowledge About Sanskrit
Dr. Ambedkar has been appointed the chairman of the drafting committee of the constitution for the creation of the newly independent Indian constitution.
When it came to preparing the list of programmed languages, Babasaheb also wanted to give Sanskrit, the mother of all languages. However, this could not happen because of the opposition of the majority of members. But during this period when there was a discussion between Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri and Ambedkar Ji about Sanskrit, people saw that the two great personalities spoke in Sanskrit.
You might expect Shastri to know the Sanskrit language, but Babasaheb, born into a Dalit family without education, mastered the Sanskrit language so well that no one thought it. Soon the media was involved and everyone started to believe in Ambedkar’s knowledge.
5. No pawn, no water
Babasaheb belonged to the Mahar caste considered untouchable. This was the reason why they could not sit with the rest of the students at school and had to study sitting outside of class. Apart from that, they were also not allowed to open the tap of the school, while other students could drink running water at any time.
They could only have water in one case when the school pawn was also present, this was not the case, so no one else would give them water when the tap would open. He summarized the same situation in a line later in his article
